Make Your Voices Heard – Help CARC Prevent Severe State Budget Cuts
In response to the looming budget crisis in Illinois, CARC—and many other agencies like us, are participating in an effort to apply significant pressure on Governor Pat Quinn. Our message to him is to use the authority given to his Office to protect the safety net of community-based services and supports for children and adults with developmental disabilities and other special needs.
By law, the Governor’s Office must be accountable for every penny they receive. Our statewide goal is 250,000 pennies—our message is very clear. “DO NOT CUT FUNDING FOR PERSONS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.
We need your help in urging the Governor not to make additional funding cuts.

Critical times call for critical measures—these are critical times and additional fundingcuts will be devastating for CARC and the network of community supports in Illinois.
Together we can make a difference…and together we can influence Governor Quinn to protect our vital services. We need your support. We must stand as one to protect Chicago’s most vulnerable citizens.
