Kristin V. MacRAE - President and CEO

CEOKristin V. MacRAE, President and CEO of Envision, has over 25 years of experience in nonprofit management including the health care industry and social services. She began her work at Envision in 1986 as Director of Human Resources and was named President/CEO in 2000.

Since that time, Ms. MacRAE has provided visionary leadership to Envision--the 14th largest nonprofit organization in the Chicago area, during a precarious fiscal climate for Illinois community service providers. Despite these challenges, Envision has evolved programmatically and the agency now supports more children, adults with special needs than it did in 2000. Furthermore, under the direction of Ms. MacRAE, Envision has launched two innovative business ventures: Gumption Gifts and the Chicago Pup Patrol, to create new community based jobs for persons with developmental disabilities.

In addition to her exemplary work at Envision, Ms. MacRAE received a gubernatorial appointment to the esteemed Illinois Disability Services Advisory Committee. She is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc (IARF). Additionally, she was elected in 2004 as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Institute on Public Policy for Persons with Disabilities. She has been a member of the Infant Welfare Society Board of Directors since 1985, serving as Board President from 1991-1994. She is a graduate of Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service.
