Envision provides work and job placement services to men and women who are at least 18 years of age and who have a diagnosed developmental disability. The programs are licensed as Developmental Training sites by the Illinois Department of Human Services and are CARF accredited in Community Integration and Organizational Employment.
We understand the value and need for work and are dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities reach their goals.
"The men and women who come to Halas want to work. When I see clients working hard on our pillow production line, I see the pride they take in their work and how their jobs enhance their self-esteem."
Stephanie Evans, Director of Envision's Halas Center
Envision connects people to community-based jobs and supported employment. If necessary, our job coaches work side by side without clients until particular skills are mastered. We also provide training at six work centers throughout the city. At the work centers, subcontract work and prime products are manufactured for a variety of customers nationwide. At one of our work centers, we operate a pillow production plant that produces over one million pillows annually for major airlines, hotels, and medical centers. Two additional Envision work centers create quilts, table linens and offer other sewing assembly services.
We offer a full spectrum of work services that help people learn skills, gain experience and find jobs. Programs are geared to specific individual needs.
